This year we will have 5 teams competing:- Flag (5-6 year olds)
- Midget (6 -7 year olds) 1st year tackle
- Rookie (8-9 year olds)
- Junior (10-11 year olds)

| Helmets and shoulder pads are the property of the San Antonio Cowboys and must be returned at the end of the year. Game jerseys, Games pants and Game socks will be given to the player at the end of the year. | |
Playing Time and Practice
The San Antonio Cowboys is a competitive football program. Unlike baseball and basketball, football is a full contact sport. It is our goal to teach the players the fundamentals of football. These fundamentals are learned mostly in practice. Therefore, it is very important for the development of the players that they attends all practices. It is also important that parents understand that TYFA does not require us to play your child a minimum amount of time. Paying registration does not guarantee your child a certain amount of playing time. Playing time is awarded at the coach’s discretion based on ability and performance. Some players will play more than others. Some players will play offense and defense. However, it is our policy to make every attempt to make sure all the players play since we believe this builds confidence and is a key to the development of the child and team.

Online Registration is scheduled to begin in January 1, 2011 and to end on August 1, 2011. This year’s registration fees are the following:

Cheerleaders
The cost for San Antonio Cowboy Cheerleaders is $310.00 for the year. A $150.00 non-refundable deposit is required to place the order for uniform. Cheerleaders will have no registration fees and will have one fundraiser for the year.San Antonio Cowboys Cheerleader will keep their shell, fly away skirt, long-sleeve crop top, briefs, hair accessories, uniform socks, two handled pom-poms, wind suit with monogram, and Nike Sideline Tennis shoes after the season.
If you are interested in being part of the San Antonio Cowboys organization, online registration will begin at the beginning of the year. We encourage all returning players to register as soon as available.
